Graveside funeral services for Benny C. McGuire age 71 of Columbia, will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks with Rev.Paul Pearson officiating.Interment will follow in the McGuire Family Plot. Services are under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. The McGuire Family will receive guests on Tuesday evening at the Riser Funeral Home from 5 to 9 PM located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia, LA. Benny C. McGuire was born on July 10,1938 and passed from this life on January 24,2010 following an extended illness.He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. James Edward McGuire and Eleanor Kelley McGuire and his precious wife, Laura Patton McGuire.He was a retired electrician. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Penny Lynne McGuire of San Antonio,TX and Pamela Kay McGuire of Columbia. Four sisters: Mary Mc Clanahan and husband Jon of Grayson, Betty Williams and husband Lloyd of Columbia, Dorothy Franklin and husband Wayne of Clarks, and Nancy Douglas and husband Jed of Asheville,North Carolina. Pallbearers will be Jon McClanahan, Wayne Franklin, Lloyd Williams, Steve Williams, Jed Douglas and John Patterson.
