Funeral services for Audrey McVay, age 89, of Enterprise, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2013 at New Ouachita Baptist Church in Enterprise with Bro. Gary Maroney and Bro. James King officiating. Interment will follow at Old Catahoula Cemetery in Enterprise. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church. Audrey was born September 1, 1923 to Cary and Dollie Sones McGuffee in Harrisonburg and she passed from this life on July 24, 2013 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was a retired Postmaster from the Enterprise post office. She was a member of the New Ouachita Baptist Church in Enterprise. She loved to play bingo and dominoes with family and friends. She considered the residents at the Arbor Assisted Living in West Monroe as her extended family and she was the designated Happy Birthday singer there. She went to every activity they had. She loved to garden and had a beautiful yard. She worked at the family restaurant until she was 74 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur McVay; son: Lanny McVay; her parents; three grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter: Geraldine Cassels and her husband DeWayne of Enterprise; two grandchildren: Mike Cassels and his fiance Melanie Chambers; David Cassels and his wife Misty; three great-grandchildren: Morgan Cassels, Lauren Cassels, and Cameron Cassels. Pallbearers will be Mike Cassels, David Cassels, Jerry Eubanks, Curtis Roark, Nathan Roark, and John Ed Bartmess. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Sheppard, Mike McGuffee, Alden Creel, Brian Wade, Earl Isonhood, and Stan Stanford. You may send online condolences to the McVay family at www.riserfuneralhomes.com
