Funeral services for Audie Perot Fatheree, age 89 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from the chapel of Riser funeral Home with Bro. Robbin Cox officiating and Bro. Joe Aguillard delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery, Columbia.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Mrs. Fatheree was born on June 9, 1927 in Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, William Overton and Myrtle Holmes Perot and passed from this life on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Columbia, LA.
Audie was a homemaker to her husband and eight children. When her health allowed she attended Covenant Worship Center, now Life Church. She had many hobbies including fishing, cooking, gardening vegetables and flowers. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and any extra children who came into her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond C. Fatheree; three sons: Harold David Fatheree, James Michael “Mike” Fatheree, and John Bryan Fatheree; great-grandson, Elijah Glenn Hendrix; three brothers: John V. Perot, Neal Perot, and Clayton Perot and one sister, Ada Lindsey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Raymond Fatheree and wife, Vienita of West Monroe and Russell D. Fatheree of Columbia; three daughters: Patricia Rider and husband, John of Columbia, Theresa Hendrix and husband, Jimmy of Kelly, and Ruby Smith and significant other, Jeff Roberts of Grayson; three brothers: Curtis Perot and wife, Linda of Clarks, Richard Perot and wife, Carma of Sibley, and W.O. “Bill” Perot of Penn Yan, NY; sister, Irma Cox of Marion; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Waylon Hendrix, Josh Hendrix, Brian Fatheree, Keith Fatheree, Robbie Cain and Kenneth Fatheree.
