Funeral services for Aubrey “Brad” Tullos age 81 of Columbia will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday March 16, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Maxwell, Bro Brian Rankin, Pastor Robbie Alford and Don McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Visitation will be on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Aubrey Kay Tullos was born on August 21, 1935 at Hebert, LA to the union of his parents, Leonard Tullos and Bonnie Kelly Tullos and he passed from this life on Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Known to everyone as Brad, he was a farmer and builder and he loved life and people. He was President of the first bass club association in the state of Louisiana. He was an avid sportsman and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his twin brother Audrey “Ruff” Tullos, his brothers: Neal Tullos and Leonard Elzy Tullos and two sisters: Erselle Jacobs and Joyce Tullos, brothers-in-law: Alton “Buddy” Riser and Dub Jacobs and by his nephews: Dubby Jacobs, Ronnie Booth and his nieces: Tywanna Booth and Amy Nolan. Brad served his country in the United States Army in 1959 and 1960.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Pansy Riser Tullos of Hebert, two sisters-in-law: Marjorie Tullos of Grayson and Georgia Tullos of Hebert; his brothers-in-law: Bob Riser and wife Judy of Downsville, Ben Joe Riser and wife Gloria of Marion, and Patsy Riser McClanahan and husband Don of Downsville; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Booth, Jared Riser, Benjamin Riser, Jimmy Funderburk, Ray Brandin and Heath Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Riser, Seth Riser and Colonel Brian McClanahan.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
