Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae Hodges,68, of Grayson, will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Braddock officiating. Interment will follow in McGee Mt. Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26, from 5pm to 9pm in the funeral home. Mrs. Hodges was born in Pleasant Hill, LA, Sabine Parish, on November 24, 1941 to the union of Raphal Clifford and Agnes Carrol Cook and passed from this life on Wednesday evening, February 24, 2010, after a long illness at home. She was a member of Little Star Baptist Church of Holum. After retiring from the State School of 10 yrs. She became a homemaker enjoying her grandchildren. She was loved by a lot of people and always had a smile. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Daisy Lynn Hodges. Survivors include her husband of 49 yrs. Mr. Roy Dean Hodges of Grayson; Daughter, Ronda Hodges Vicknair of Lafayette; Sons, Roy Hodges, Jr. of Waveland, MS, Michael John Hodges and wife Kristie of Bastrop. Grandchildren, Trey Randle Vicknair and wife Jessica of Vidor, TX, Hayden Michael Hodges and Mary Katherine Hodges of Bastrop. Sister and brother in law Juanita and William Guyon of Tioga; Brother and sister in law Carol and Lewis Hodges of Grayson; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and many great nieces. Pallbearers will be Trey Randle Vicknair, Justin McKeithen, William Hyde, Lewis Hodges, Lee Kraft, and Hank Boils. The family would like to thank Dr. K.P. Mauterer for his long patience and understanding that he had with her. Mr. Hodges appreciates the staff and all who were involved.
