Ann Nethery Talley

Funeral services for Ann Nethery Talley, age 81 of Olla will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Olla with Rev. Greg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia and Olla. Visitation will be at the church on Friday, June 3 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Edith Ann Nethery Talley was born on October 27, 1934 at Olla, LA to the union of Wilbur P. Nethery and Edith Brandin Nethery. She passed from this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Ann was a member of the Pinewood Garden Club and an avid Bridge player. She loved flower gardening and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Olla. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Stephen Kyle Talley; her daughter, Mauri Ann Talley; her brother, Glen Nethery and her sisters: Wilma Raye Zeagler and Betty Jo McDonald. Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Billy Talley of Olla; two sons: Jason Talley and wife, Kristie of Olla and Joe Bill Talley of Hebert; her daughter, Tamie Edzards and husband, Dean of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren and eleven great -grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Talley, Clint Talley, Matthew Talley, Ben Talley, Derrek Duplissey, and Ryland Taylor.
