Ann McKee Cassels

A celebration service for Ann McKee Cassels will be held at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 3 PM with Bro. Stan Wyant officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Welcome Cemetery in Grayson, LA. Pallbearers will be Alvin McKee, Steve Wyant, Van Patterson, Farron McKee, John Hall, Harrison Jacobson and Chris Jacobson. Visitation will be held 1 PM until 3 PM prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Ann McKee Cassels passed into her heavenly home on December 20, 2019 at the age of 96. Ann was born to the union of Tom McKee and Mary Harper McKee on February 9, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, R. L. Cassels, her parents, her sisters: Lois Harrelson, Virgie Jackson, Johnnie Ruth Wyant and her brothers: Clyde McKee, Truman McKee, J. W. McKee, Pat McKee, M. H. McKee and Joe McKee. Mrs. Cassels is survived by many nieces and nephews. There were three special nieces and nephew for which she considered her children: Archie H. Wyant, Jr. (Patsy) of Clarksville, GA, Janice Wyant Jacobson (Denis) of West Monroe and Patricia Wyant of Columbia. Mrs. Cassels was a long-time and devoted member of Sandy Bayou Baptist Church where she faithfully served as Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved her church family and was a Godly example to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandy Bayou Baptist Church, 4803 Hwy 559, Columbia, LA 71418.
