Ana Sofia Echavarria

Ana Sofia Echavarria, age 61 of Olla, Louisiana, was born December 25, 1963, in Venezuela, and she passed away suddenly on January 13, 2025, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, Louisiana. Ana was born and raised in Venezuela where she completed her education and became a doctor. She loved her work in the medical field because she loved people and loved helping people. She also loved animals but her her greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Cardona and Jose Echavarria; her husband, Fredi Pimienta; son, Alfredo Pimienta; and brothers, Gesus Echavarria and Cristobal Echavarria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Maydeleth Callender (James), Mayrelbis Ballesteros (Edward), Mayreline Pimienta, and Fredis Pimienta; sister, Luz Margarita Echavarria (Nando); grandchildren: Freddy Alfredo, Maydeleth, Maria de las Angeles, and Valeria y Samanta.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 26, 2025 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home. The Echavarria Family will receive visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery at Urania.
