Alva Maloy Reitzell

Alva Maloy Reitzell was born on May 13, 1961 in Texas to the union of his parents, Warren Edwin Reitzell and Theresa Rosas Reitzell. He passed from this life on September 12, 2023 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Alva was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Belinda Reitzell Brown.

Alva was a hardworker having worked for many years at the Standard Woodyard in Standard , (Olla, LA). He loved to go to the Casino and relax and just have a good time. Hunting and Fishing was a big part of his life as well. He loved the simple things in life and loved to watch football, especially the Saints.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother Tommy Reitzell of Clarks and a sister, Jennifer Reitzell of Clarks; He leaves behind a host of nieces, Anna, Rachel, Alyah, Kaitlyn, Augustine, Lexie  and Brenna; he also leaves his nephews, Brannon, Derek, T. J., Denzel, Abram, Maddox Reitzell  and Noah.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
