Mack Massey

Funeral services for Mack Massey, age 76, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Fort Necessity Baptist Church, Fort Necessity, LA with Bro. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 10:30 AM until time of service at 2. Mack Massey was born February 1, 1944 at Fort Necessity, LA to the union of his parents, Theodore Massey and Artis Merritt Massey, and he passed away August 29, 2020 after an extended illness. Mack worked at GM for 30 plus years and retired from there in 2007. He loved to hunt and fish. He Also loved to garden and he fed many people over the years with everything he grew. Most of all, Mack loved his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Artis Massey; his brothers: Louis Massey, Don Massey and his twin, Matt Massey; brothers-in-law, Allen Talbert and Russell A. Price, and his wife’s parents, Richard and Elaine Dannehl. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joyce Massey; daughter, Tracey Griffith and husband, Richard; sons: Danny Massey and wife, Sonja, Scott Massey and girlfriend, Krista; grandchildren: Jeremy Massey and wife, Brittany, Ashley Massey and boyfriend, John Robinson, Steven Massey and wife, Elaina, Zach Griffith, Laken Massey, Brilie Williams, Jessica Pender, Charles Johnson and Claude Johnson, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Madison, Hunter, Anna, Christian, Emma, Ted, Chassidy, Dallas, Denver and Scott; brothers: RD Massey and wife, Betty, Smiley Massey and wife, Bonnie; sisters: Margie Price, Joy Johnson, Betty Till and husband, Mike, Ann Jewel and husband, Clip, Linda Windham and husband, Warren; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Massey, Scott Massey, Jeremy Massey, Steven Massey, Chris Talbert, Randy Windham, Charles Johnson, and Cody Lee.
