Robert “Bob” Stephens was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana on November 14, 1932 and died in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 11, 2012. He was 79 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents James “Rex” Stephens and Mable McKenzie, his sister Florece Hewitt of Mangham, Louisiana and his brother James Stephens of West Monroe, Louisiana. He is survived by all of his children: Mark Stephens, Oklahoma, his daughters Ramona Notinger (and husband Steve) of Plano, Texas, Rebecca Stephens of Lynchburg, Virginia and Cynthia Stephens of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His grandchildren: Jason Hood, Justin and Jessica McCullough, Robert Benson, Katherine Higginbotham, James and Marcus Storey, and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday June 15, 2012 from 4 to 8pm at the Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA. The funeral service will take place Saturday June 16, 2012 at 10am in the chapel at Riser Funeral Home 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia, LA followed by a graveside service with military honors in the Hewitt Cemetery near Mangham, Louisiana.
